“Merry Christmas! Everything Is Fine!” was fully conceived in one month, with much of the creation happening over a 9-day period between December 13 and December 22, 2020 while we were isolating in Kate’s house in preparation for Christmas. The album was planned as a surprise Christmas gift for our families, but as the hours of preparation piled up, we decided it was worth sharing this snapshot of our 2020 Christmas with you. We hope you have fun on this 40-minute sleigh ride through many musical genres and moods, from fun and chaotic to homesick and wistful.

Many thanks to Mark, Gavin, Esther-Ruth, Victoria and Isaac for being the main beta listeners, giving tons of encouragement and constructive criticism along the way. Thanks to Blake Reid for allowing us to use his upright piano. Extra thanks also to Victoria for her groovy dance moves.
